A RESOLUTION 1 Designating the week of April 10 through 16, 2005, as "Local 2 Government Week" in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, Each year one week is set aside as "Local Government 4 Week"; and 5 WHEREAS, "Local Government Week" focuses attention on the 6 need for strong, independent and active local government in this 7 Commonwealth and recognizes the valuable contributions made by 8 citizens serving their communities in public office; therefore 9 be it 10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives proclaim the week 11 of April 10 through 16, 2005, as "Local Government Week" in 12 Pennsylvania.
