AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," further providing for work to be done
6 under contract let on bid.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Section 1714-B of the act of March 10, 1949
10 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is
11 amended by adding a subsection to read:
12 Section 1714-B. Mandate Waiver Program.--* * *
13 (o) Notwithstanding the provisions of the act of May 1, 1913
14 (P.L.155, No.104), referred to as the Separation Act, the
15 department may approve a waiver of the provisions of section 751
16 that require separate contracts for the construction,
17 reconstruction, repairs, maintenance or work of any other nature
18 upon a school building, school property or a building or portion
19 of a building leased under the provisions of section 703.1.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
