AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for prohibition on expenditures
3 for emission inspection program.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4706 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 4706. Prohibition on expenditures for emission inspection
9 program.

11 (k) Fees for exempt vehicles.--A vehicle exempt from
12 emission inspection testing as provided by the exception under
13 section 4702(g) shall be charged a fee of not more than $10,
14 excluding the program management fee for data transmission and
15 applicable sales tax, for the issuance of the exemption
16 certificate. No additional fee, surcharge or cost shall be
1 assessed by the inspection station for the issuance of an
2 exemption certificate.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
