                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for sentence of
     3     imprisonment for felony.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1103 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1103.  Sentence of imprisonment for felony.
     9     Except as provided in 42 Pa.C.S. § 9714 (relating to
    10  sentences for second and subsequent offenses), a person who has
    11  been convicted of a felony may be sentenced to imprisonment as
    12  follows:
    13         (1)  In the case of a felony of the first degree, for a
    14     term which shall be fixed by the court at not more than [20]
    15     30 years.
    16         (2)  In the case of a felony of the second degree, for a

     1     term which shall be fixed by the court at not more than [ten]
     2     15 years.
     3         (3)  In the case of a felony of the third degree, for a
     4     term which shall be fixed by the court at not more than seven
     5     years.
     6     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
