AN ACT
1 Providing for maintenance of the Benjamin Rush State Park; and
2 designating a road in Philadelphia County.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Short title.
6 This act shall be known and may be cited as the Benjamin Rush
7 State Park Natural Lands Act.
8 Section 2. Definitions.
9 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
10 have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
11 context clearly indicates otherwise:
12 "Department." The Department of Conservation and Natural
13 Resources of the Commonwealth.
14 Section 3. Administration.
15 The department shall maintain all lands situated within the
16 Benjamin Rush State Park in a naturalistic appearance and
17 continue to administer the park in its current state as a
18 combination of open fields and woodlots and community gardens.
1 Section 4. Senator Hank Salvatore Drive in Philadelphia County.
2 (a) Designation.--The road serving as the main entrance to
3 the Benjamin Rush State Park, intersecting with Southampton Road
4 in Philadelphia County, shall be known as Senator Hank Salvatore
5 Drive.
6 (b) Signs.--The department shall erect and maintain signs
7 displaying the name of the road designated under subsection (a).
8 Section 5. Effective date.
9 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
