AN ACT
1 Relating to compensation for executive branch officials.
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. Short title.
5 This act shall be known and may be cited as the Executive
6 Branch Official Compensation Act.
7 Section 2. Definitions.
8 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall
9 have the meanings given to them in this section unless the
10 context clearly indicates otherwise:
11 "Executive official." Any of the following:
12 (1) An individual elected to an office within the
13 executive branch of the Commonwealth.
14 (2) A member of the Governor's Cabinet.
15 (3) An individual who is a member of an independent
16 administrative board or commission listed in section 201 of
1 the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The
2 Administrative Code of 1929.
3 Section 3. Executive employees and officials.
4 An executive official may not receive an annual salary from
5 the Commonwealth in an amount which exceeds the annual salary
6 paid to the Governor by the Commonwealth.
7 SECTION 4. APPLICABILITY. <--
8 THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT SHALL APPLY TO EXECUTIVE OFFICIALS
9 ELECTED OR APPOINTED AFTER NOVEMBER 1, 2006.
10 Section 20 5. Effective date. <--
11 This act shall take effect immediately.
