                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 3, 1929 (P.L.134, No.136), entitled
     2     "An act authorizing treasurers in counties of the second
     3     class to sit personally or by deputy, for the purpose of the
     4     collection of taxes, in the various municipalities in the
     5     county, and imposing expenses in connection therewith upon
     6     the county," extending the act to municipal and school taxes.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Section 1 of the act of April 3, 1929 (P.L.134,
    10  No.136), entitled "An act authorizing treasurers in counties of
    11  the second class to sit personally or by deputy, for the purpose
    12  of the collection of taxes, in the various municipalities in the
    13  county, and imposing expenses in connection therewith upon the
    14  county," is amended to read:
    15     Section 1.  Be it enacted, &c., That the treasurer in any
    16  county of the second class in this Commonwealth is hereby
    17  authorized and empowered to sit for the purpose of the
    18  collection of the taxes of such county and the municipal and
    19  school taxes imposed in the county, either in person, by deputy,


     1  or by any agency he may employ as his deputy, in any
     2  municipality in such county, at such times and in such places as
     3  to him shall seem expedient. Any expenses incurred by the county
     4  treasurer in carrying out the provisions of this act shall be
     5  paid by the county.
     6     Section 2.  All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this
     7  act are repealed to the extent of the inconsistency.
     8     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
