                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, prohibiting certain firearms from
     3     being possessed or used in this Commonwealth.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     8  § 6121.1.  Certain firearms prohibited.
     9     (a)  Offense defined.--It is unlawful for any person to
    10  possess, use or attempt to use a five-seven pistol in this
    11  Commonwealth.
    12     (b)  Grading.--An offense under this section constitutes a
    13  felony of the third degree.
    14     (c)  Definition.--As used in this section, the term "five-
    15  seven pistol" means a conventional semiautomatic pistol designed
    16  to fire various types of ammunition in the caliber of 5.7mm.
    17     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
