AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for operation of vehicle without
3 official certificate of inspection.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4703(c) and (d) of Title 75 of the
7 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:
8 § 4703. Operation of vehicle without official certificate of
9 inspection.

11 (c) Inspection of vehicles reentering this Commonwealth.--
12 Vehicles subject to registration and inspection in this
13 Commonwealth which have been outside this Commonwealth
14 continuously for 30 days or more and which, at the time of
15 reentering this Commonwealth, do not bear a currently valid
16 certificate of inspection shall not be required to be inspected
17 until [ten] five days after reentering this Commonwealth.
18 (d) Newly-purchased vehicles.--Newly-purchased vehicles may
1 be driven without a current inspection certificate for [ten]
2 five days after sale or resale or entry into this Commonwealth,
3 whichever occurs later.

5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
