A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing 50 years of outstanding achievements and
2 contributions of the International Visitors Council of
3 Philadelphia.
4 WHEREAS, The International Visitors Council of Philadelphia,
5 which hosts guests sponsored by the United States Department of
6 State, celebrates 50 years of fostering acceptance among people
7 of all nationalities; and
8 WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, the International
9 Visitors Council of Philadelphia has arranged more than 100,000
10 meetings between Pennsylvanians and foreign visitors, serving as
11 the official representative of the United States Government and
12 the City of Philadelphia for high-level exchange programs which
13 bring presidential advisors, parliamentarians, journalists,
14 educators and business owners to the United States; and
15 WHEREAS, The International Visitors Council of Philadelphia
16 allows visitors from around the world to observe and learn about
17 the successes of Pennsylvania's government and citizens so that
18 our Commonwealth may inspire other governments and peoples by
1 positive example; and
2 WHEREAS, The International Visitors Council of Philadelphia
3 encourages business development and economic growth throughout
4 this Commonwealth; therefore be it
5 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize 50
6 years of outstanding achievements and contributions of the
7 International Visitors Council of Philadelphia.
