INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, APRIL 7, 2003
A RESOLUTION 1 Honoring United States troops serving as part of Operation Iraqi 2 Freedom. 3 WHEREAS, Operation Iraqi Freedom commenced March 19, 2003, a 4 military operation with United States and coalition forces whose 5 mission is to liberate Iraq, remove Saddam Hussein from power 6 and neutralize Iraq's weapons of mass destruction; and 7 WHEREAS, Many Pennsylvania men and women are members of the
1 United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine and National Guard 2 units currently serving in the Persian Gulf region and other 3 locations and participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom; and 4 WHEREAS, The contribution made by the members of the military 5 forces in the Middle East is deeply appreciated by the citizens 6 of this Commonwealth and the members of the House of 7 Representatives; therefore be it 8 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives express its 9 unequivocal support and appreciation to the members of the 10 United States Armed Forces serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, 11 who are carrying out their missions with excellence, 12 determination, patriotism and bravery, and to the families of 13 the United States military personnel serving in Operation Iraqi 14 Freedom, who are providing support and prayers for their loved 15 ones currently engaged in military operations in Iraq.
