                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Designating April 2003 as "Grange Month" in Pennsylvania.

     2     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange is a leader in
     3  agriculture and community and family affairs; and
     4     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange provides the
     5  opportunity for individual expression and personal growth and
     6  promotes grassroots involvement of its members in the
     7  legislative process; and
     8     WHEREAS, Pennsylvanians take great pride in our rich
     9  agricultural heritage, and our international reputation for
    10  quality agricultural products has been earned through
    11  generations of hard work and dedication by farm families; and
    12     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange celebrates 130 years
    13  of service under the creed of people, pride and progress; and

     1     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has remained dedicated
     2  to improving farming and rural life for all Pennsylvanians
     3  through initiatives in agriculture, education, transportation,
     4  tax reform, rural development and health care; and
     5     WHEREAS, Committed to honest labor and willing service, the
     6  Pennsylvania State Grange has helped to sustain the quality of
     7  life enjoyed by our Commonwealth's rural citizens; therefore be
     8  it
     9     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives shall hereby
    10  designate April 2003 as "Grange Month" in Pennsylvania in
    11  recognition of the Pennsylvania State Grange and its dedication
    12  to personal growth, service to others and the strengthening of
    13  families and communities; and be it further
    14     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives shall hereby
    15  designate April 2003 as "Grange Month" in Pennsylvania and
    16  encourage all citizens to acknowledge and applaud the
    17  achievements of the Pennsylvania State Grange.
