                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating the portion of State Route 93 between Nesquehoning,
     2     Carbon County, at the base of the Broad Mountain, and the
     3     Luzerne-Columbia County border as The Flight 93 Remembrance
     4     Highway, in honor and memory of the brave passengers and crew
     5     of Flight 93 which crashed tragically in Somerset County on
     6     September 11, 2001.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9  Section 1.  Designation.
    10     The portion of State Route 93 between Nesquehoning, Carbon
    11  County, at the base of the Broad Mountain, and the Luzerne-
    12  Columbia County border is hereby designated as The Flight 93
    13  Remembrance Highway in honor and memory of the brave passengers
    14  and crew of Flight 93 which crashed tragically in Somerset
    15  County on September 11, 2001.
    16  Section 2.  Signs.

     1     The Department of Transportation shall erect appropriate
     2  signs to indicate this designation.
     3  Section 3.  Effective date.
     4     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
