AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, prohibiting avoidance of traffic signal or sign or
3 intersection; and providing a penalty.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 3710.1. Prohibiting avoidance of traffic signal or sign or an
9 intersection.
10 (a) Offense defined.--No person shall drive upon or across a
11 sidewalk, driveway, parking lot or other public or private
12 property, or otherwise drive off a roadway, in order to avoid a
13 traffic signal or sign or an intersection.
14 (b) Penalty.--A person who violates subsection (a) commits a
15 summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine
16 of $100.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
