        SENATE AMENDMENTS TO HOUSE AMENDMENTS, APRIL 16, 2002

                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating a portion of SR 11 in Salem Township, Luzerne
     2     County, as Salem Boulevard; a portion of US route 119 in
     3     Indiana County as the Patrick J. Stapleton Memorial Highway;
     4     a portion of State Route 413 between its intersection with
     5     State Route 13 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bristol US     <--
     6     ROUTE 1 IN MIDDLETOWN Township, Bucks County, as Veterans
     7     Highway; a section of SR 1011 in Clearfield, Cameron and Elk
     8     Counties as the Quehanna Highway; the North George Street
     9     Bridge in the City of York, York County, as the Governor
    10     George M. Leader Bridge; and the ramp from the I-279S HOV
    11     lane to Anderson Street in Allegheny County as Cigna's Way.

    12     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    13  hereby enacts as follows:
    14  Section 1.  Salem Boulevard in Salem Township, Luzerne County.
    15     (a)  Designation.--The portion of SR 11 in Salem Township,
    16  Luzerne County, from the boundary line between Shickshinny
    17  Borough, Luzerne County, and Salem Township, Luzerne County, to
    18  Bomboy Lane in Salem Township, Luzerne County, is hereby
    19  designated as Salem Boulevard.
    20     (b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall, in
    21  appropriate locations, erect and maintain signs displaying the
    22  name designated under subsection (a).

     1  Section 2.  Patrick J. Stapleton Memorial Highway in Indiana
     2                 County.
     3     (a)  Designation.--The portion of US Route 119 in Indiana
     4  County between US Route 422 and US Route 22 is hereby designated
     5  as the Patrick J. Stapleton Memorial Highway.
     6     (b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall, in
     7  appropriate locations, erect and maintain signs displaying the
     8  name designated under subsection (a).
     9  Section 3.  Veterans Highway in Bristol Township, Bucks County.
    10     (a)  Designation.--The portion of State Route 413 between its
    11  intersection with State Route 13 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike    <--
    12  in Bristol US ROUTE 1 IN MIDDLETOWN Township, Bucks County, is    <--
    13  hereby designated as Veterans Highway.
    14     (b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall, in
    15  appropriate locations, erect and maintain signs displaying the
    16  name designated under subsection (a).
    17  Section 4.  Quehanna Highway.
    18     The section of State Route 1011 that runs from Route 879 near
    19  Karthaus, in Clearfield County through the Quehanna Wild Area in
    20  Cameron and Elk Counties and ends at State Route 555 at Medix
    21  Run in Elk County, is designated and shall be known as the
    22  Quehanna Highway.
    23  Section 5.  The Governor George M. Leader Bridge in the City of
    24                 York, York County.
    25     (a)  Designation.--The bridge now known as the North George
    26  Street Bridge on State Route 181 in the City of York, York
    27  County, is hereby designated and shall be known as the Governor
    28  George M. Leader Bridge.
    29     (b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect, in
    30  appropriate locations, and maintain appropriate signs displaying

     1  the name designated under subsection (a).
     2  Section 6.  Exit ramp from I-279S.
     3     (a)  Designation.--The exit ramp from the Interstate 279S
     4  High Occupancy Vehicle, or HOV, lane to Anderson Street in
     5  Allegheny County is hereby designated and shall be known as
     6  Cigna's Way.
     7     (b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall, in
     8  appropriate locations, erect and maintain signs displaying the
     9  name designated under subsection (a).
    10  Section 7.  Effective date.
    11     This act shall take effect immediately.
