        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           APRIL 11, 2002

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Congratulating The Pennsylvania State University fencing team on
     2     winning the 2002 NCAA combined national championship.

     3     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State University fencing team has
     4  won the 2002 NCAA combined national championship; and
     5     WHEREAS, The team finished the four-day event with a total of
     6  195 points; and
     7     WHEREAS, The 2002 championship is the ninth NCAA combined
     8  national championship that the team has won and the seventh in
     9  the last eight years; therefore be it
    10     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate The
    11  Pennsylvania State University fencing team on winning the 2002
    12  NCAA combined national championship and wish it continued
    13  success in the future.
