A RESOLUTION 1 Designating April 22 through 29, 2002, as "Grange Week" and 2 April 29, 2002, as "Grange Day" in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange is a leader in 4 agriculture and community and family affairs; and 5 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange provides the 6 opportunity for individual expression and personal growth and 7 promotes grassroots involvement of its members in the 8 legislative process; and 9 WHEREAS, Pennsylvanians take great pride in our rich 10 agricultural heritage, and our international reputation for 11 quality agricultural products has been earned through
1 generations of hard work and dedication by farm families; and 2 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange celebrates 128 years 3 of service under the creed of people, pride and progress; and 4 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has remained dedicated 5 to improving farming and rural life for all Pennsylvanians 6 through initiatives in agriculture, education, transportation, 7 tax reform, rural development and health care; and 8 WHEREAS, Committed to honest labor and willing service, the 9 Pennsylvania State Grange has helped to sustain the quality of 10 life enjoyed by our Commonwealth's rural citizens; therefore be 11 it 12 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives shall hereby 13 designate April 22 through 29, 2002, as "Grange Week" in 14 Pennsylvania in recognition of the Pennsylvania State Grange and 15 its dedication to personal growth, service to others and the 16 strengthening of families and communities; and be it further 17 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives shall hereby 18 designate April 29, 2002, as "Grange Day" in Pennsylvania and 19 encourage all citizens to acknowledge and applaud the 20 achievements of the Pennsylvania State Grange.
