AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 28, 2002 (P.L.492, No.83), entitled "An
2 act providing for vaccination against meningococcal disease
3 for students at institutions of higher education," providing
4 for the bulk purchase and distribution of meningococcal
5 vaccine.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. The act of June 28, 2002 (P.L.492, No.83), known
9 as the College and University Student Vaccination Act, is
10 amended by adding a section to read:
11 Section 3.1. Bulk purchase.
12 The Department of Health shall develop and implement a system
13 which provides for the bulk purchase of meningococcal vaccine
14 and its distribution to institutions of higher education. An
15 institution which receives meningococcal vaccine provided by the
16 Department of Health shall administer the vaccine for the
17 purpose of facilitating student compliance with this act. An
1 institution may charge an amount of no more than $15 for each
2 meningococcal vaccination it administers.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
