AN ACT 1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, further providing for obedience to signal 3 indicating approach of train. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Section 3341 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania 7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read: 8 § 3341. Obedience to signal indicating approach of train. 9 * * * 10 (b.1) Signs.--Railroad crossings shall be posted in 11 accordance with departmental regulations which shall require 12 signs stating the penalties for a violation of this section and 13 require that the signs be replaced when they become either 14 obsolete or missing. A railroad company shall post and maintain 15 such signs at railroad crossings located on property owned by 16 the railroad company. Costs associated with the posting, 17 maintenance and replacement of the signs shall be borne by the
1 railroad company responsible for signing the particular railroad 2 crossing. It is no defense to prosecution under this section 3 that a sign required by this subsection is defaced, obstructed 4 or missing. 5 * * * 6 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. C2L75BIL/20010H1257B1460 - 2 -
