INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, MAY 6, 1999
A RESOLUTION 1 Designating May 16 through 21, 1999, as "Salvation Army Week" in 2 Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, A love of God and a desire to help others is the 4 motivation behind the men and women of The Salvation Army; and 5 WHEREAS, The Salvation Army provides spiritual counseling and 6 basic human necessities to the needy and hurting on a daily 7 basis; and 8 WHEREAS, The Salvation Army provides its services to all 9 people in need without regard for race, color, creed, sex or 10 age; therefore be it 11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate May 16
1 through 21, 1999, as "Salvation Army Week" in Pennsylvania; and 2 be it further 3 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives urge all citizens 4 to join in honoring the dedicated officers, employees and 5 volunteers of The Salvation Army who touch the lives of many in 6 this Commonwealth.
