AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for
3 tenure of judicial officers.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3152(a) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 3152. Tenure of judicial officers.
9 (a) Judges and district justices.--The regular term of
10 office of judges and district justices shall be as follows:
11 (1) Judges of the Philadelphia Municipal Court [and
12 the]--Ten years.
13 (2) Judges of the Philadelphia Traffic Court of
14 Philadelphia--Six years.
15 [(2)](3) Judges of the Pittsburgh Magistrates Court--
16 Four years.
17 [(3)](4) All other judges--Ten years.
18 [(4)](5) District justices--Six years.
