AN ACT 1 Repealing the act of April 4, 1929 (P.L.163, No.158), entitled 2 "An act providing for real estate deputy sheriffs in counties 3 of the first, second, and third classes; and fixing their 4 salaries payable by said counties; and repealing section two 5 of an act, approved the twenty-fourth day of May, one 6 thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven (Pamphlet Laws, one 7 hundred eighty-five), entitled 'An act authorizing the 8 sheriffs of the several counties of this Commonwealth to 9 appoint by deed chief deputies with power to act as sheriff 10 in case of and during the temporary disability of the sheriff 11 to act in person and fixing the salaries of such chief 12 deputies in counties containing more than five hundred 13 thousand inhabitants,' and other acts general, special or 14 local so far as inconsistent herewith." 15 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 16 hereby enacts as follows: 17 Section 1. The act of April 4, 1929 (P.L.163, No.158), 18 entitled "An act providing for real estate deputy sheriffs in 19 counties of the first, second, and third classes; and fixing 20 their salaries payable by said counties; and repealing section 21 two of an act, approved the twenty-fourth day of May, one 22 thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven (Pamphlet Laws, one
1 hundred eighty-five), entitled 'An act authorizing the sheriffs 2 of the several counties of this Commonwealth to appoint by deed 3 chief deputies with power to act as sheriff in case of and 4 during the temporary disability of the sheriff to act in person 5 and fixing the salaries of such chief deputies in counties 6 containing more than five hundred thousand inhabitants,' and 7 other acts general, special or local so far as inconsistent 8 herewith," is repealed. 9 Section 2.
