AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for duty of driver on approach of
3 emergency vehicle.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 3325 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 3325. Duty of driver on approach of emergency vehicle.

10 (c) Fines in emergency response area.--The fine for any of
11 the following violations when committed in an emergency response
12 area manned by police, firefighters and/or emergency medical
13 technicians acting in their official capacity shall be double
14 the usual amount:
15 Section 3102 (relating to obedience to authorized
1 persons directing traffic).
2 Section 3111 (relating to obedience to traffic-
3 control devices).
4 Section 3114 (relating to flashing signals).
5 Section 3302 (relating to meeting vehicle proceeding
6 in opposite direction).
7 Section 3303 (relating to overtaking vehicle on the
8 left).
9 Section 3304 (relating to overtaking vehicle on the
10 right).
11 Section 3305 (relating to limitations on overtaking
12 on the left).
13 Section 3306 (relating to limitations on driving on
14 left side of roadway).
15 Section 3307 (relating to no-passing zones).
16 Section 3310 (relating to following too closely).
17 Section 3312 (relating to limited access highway
18 entrances and exits).
19 Section 3323 (relating to stop signs and yield
20 signs).
21 Section 3325 (relating to duty of driver on approach
22 of emergency vehicle).
23 Section 3361 (relating to driving vehicle at safe
24 speed).
25 Section 3364 (relating to minimum speed regulation).
26 Section 3707 (relating to driving or stopping close
27 to fire apparatus).
28 Section 3710 (relating to stopping at intersection or
29 crossing to prevent obstruction).
30 Section 3714 (relating to careless driving).
