AN ACT
1 Requiring State governmental departments and agencies, public
2 utilities and pipeline entities to notify municipalities of
3 any governmental project or proceeding that would involve the
4 taking of real property within the municipality.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Notification.
8 All State governmental departments and agencies, public
9 utilities and pipeline entities shall notify the governing body
10 of each municipality of any of their proceedings or projects
11 that will involve the taking of real property within the
12 municipality's boundaries.
13 Section 2. Time of notification.
14 The notice required under section 1 shall be given not less
15 than 180 days prior to the commencement of the project or
16 proceeding.
17 Section 3. Effective date.
18 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
