A RESOLUTION
1 Directing the Game and Fisheries Committee to investigate Game
2 Commission policy on antlerless deer licenses.
3 WHEREAS, Concerns have been expressed relating to the
4 possible overharvesting of deer; and
5 WHEREAS, There is also concern about the deer population of
6 this Commonwealth; therefore be it
7 RESOLVED, That the Game and Fisheries Committee investigate
8 Game Commission policy on the number of antlerless deer licenses
9 issued and the number of bonus tags issued; and be it further
10 RESOLVED, That the committee may hold hearings, take
11 testimony and make its investigations at such places as it deems
12 necessary in this Commonwealth. Each member of the committee
13 shall have power to administer oaths and affirmations to
14 witnesses appearing before the committee; and be it further
15 RESOLVED, That the committee make a report of its findings
16 and recommendations to the House of Representatives as soon as
1 possible.
