AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," providing for anticrime counseling.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
9 as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a
10 section to read:
11 Section 1550. Anticrime Counseling.--Each public, private
12 and parochial school shall establish a program of anticrime
13 counseling geared to pupils under thirteen (13) years of age.
14 The Department of Education shall by regulation establish
15 criteria for the counseling program, the criteria to cover
16 selection of pupils for the program as well as the content and
17 other aspects of the counseling program.
18 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 90 days.
