           YOUNGBLOOD AND MANDERINO, FEBRUARY 10, 1998

                                     AN ACT

     1  Repealing the act of March 23, 1925 (P.L.65, No.44), entitled
     2     "An act authorizing and regulating the establishment and
     3     operation by counties of hospitals for the treatment of
     4     persons afflicted with tuberculosis; providing for the
     5     acquisition of property for such hospitals by the power of
     6     eminent domain; the incurring of indebtedness and the levying
     7     of taxes; the appointment of an advisory board; authorizing
     8     counties to pay for patients cared for in hospitals of other
     9     counties; authorizing counties to receive gifts or trust
    10     funds for the erection and maintenance of such hospitals;
    11     validating proceedings, elections, and erections under
    12     existing laws repealed by this act, and all indebtedness
    13     incurred in connection therewith."

    14     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    15  hereby enacts as follows:
    16     Section 1.  The act of March 23, 1925 (P.L.65, No.44),
    17  entitled "An act authorizing and regulating the establishment
    18  and operation by counties of hospitals for the treatment of
    19  persons afflicted with tuberculosis; providing for the
    20  acquisition of property for such hospitals by the power of
    21  eminent domain; the incurring of indebtedness and the levying of


     1  taxes; the appointment of an advisory board; authorizing
     2  counties to pay for patients cared for in hospitals of other
     3  counties; authorizing counties to receive gifts or trust funds
     4  for the erection and maintenance of such hospitals; validating
     5  proceedings, elections, and erections under existing laws
     6  repealed by this act, and all indebtedness incurred in
     7  connection therewith," is repealed.
     8     Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
