                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the organization of the
     3     Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 301(b) of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 301.  Organization of commission.
     9     * * *
    10     (b)  Qualifications.--An individual who has been or is an
    11  employee of the commission, including deputy waterways
    12  conservation officers, within the last five calendar years prior
    13  to the date of appointment may not serve as a member of the
    14  commission. Two members of the commission shall serve at-large
    15  and be experienced in boating and water safety education and be
    16  a registered boat owner in Pennsylvania. The two boatmen members
    17  shall represent the various geographical sections and boating

     1  interests of this Commonwealth. The remaining eight members
     2  shall be persons well informed on the subject of conservation,
     3  restoration, fish and fishing and boats and boating and shall be
     4  appointed, insofar as practicable, on a bipartisan basis and
     5  from the various geographic districts of this Commonwealth so
     6  that at all times one and only one member shall be a resident of
     7  each of the following districts:
     8         (1)  First district, consisting of the counties of Erie,
     9     Crawford, Mercer, Lawrence, Venango, Butler, Warren, Forest
    10     and Clarion.
    11         (2)  Second district, consisting of the counties of
    12     Beaver, Allegheny, Washington, Greene, Armstrong, Indiana,
    13     Westmoreland and Fayette.
    14         (3)  Third district, consisting of the counties of
    15     McKean, Elk, Jefferson, Potter, Cameron, Clearfield, Clinton
    16     and Centre.
    17         (4)  Fourth district, consisting of the counties of
    18     Cambria, Somerset, Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon, Fulton,
    19     Mifflin and Juniata.
    20         (5)  Fifth district, consisting of the counties of Tioga,
    21     Lycoming, Union, Snyder, Bradford, Sullivan, Columbia,
    22     Montour and Northumberland.
    23         (6)  Sixth district, consisting of the counties of
    24     Franklin, Perry, Cumberland, Adams, Dauphin, York, Lebanon
    25     and Lancaster.
    26         (7)  Seventh district, consisting of the counties of
    27     Susquehanna, Wyoming, Luzerne, Lackawanna, Carbon, Wayne,
    28     Pike and Monroe.
    29         (8)  Eighth district, consisting of the counties of
    30     Schuylkill, Berks, Chester, Northampton, Lehigh, Bucks,

     1     Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware.

     3     Section 2.  The amendment of 30 Pa.C.S. § 301(b) shall not
     4  apply to the current members of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat
     5  Commission on the effective date of this amendatory act.
     6     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
