AN ACT 1 Prohibiting the Governor or a designee from serving on an ozone 2 transport commission; prohibiting expenditure of funds for 3 the operation of an ozone transport commission; and requiring 4 the Governor or the Governor's designee to withdraw from any 5 existing ozone transport commission. 6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 7 hereby enacts as follows: 8 Section 1. Definitions. 9 The following words and phrases when used in this act shall 10 have the meanings given to them in this section unless the 11 context clearly indicates otherwise: 12 "Ozone transport commission." The body created under 13 sections 176A and 184 of the Clean Air Act (Public Law 95-95, 42 14 U.S.C. § 7506a and 7511c). 15 Section 2. Service on ozone transport commission prohibited. 16 Neither the Governor nor the Governor's designee shall serve 17 on or in any way participate in the operation of an ozone 18 transport commission. 19 Section 3. Expenditure of Commonwealth funds prohibited.
1 (a) Expenses of Governor or designee.--The Commonwealth 2 shall not expend any funds to pay the expenses of the Governor 3 or the Governor's designee or to reimburse the Governor or the 4 Governor's designee for any expenses incurred in connection with 5 service on an ozone transport commission. 6 (b) Operation of ozone transport commission.--No 7 Commonwealth funds shall be expended for operation of an ozone 8 transport commission. 9 Section 4. Withdrawal from ozone transport commission. 10 The Governor or the Governor's designee shall withdraw or 11 resign from an ozone transport commission created prior to the 12 effective date of this act on which the Governor or the 13 Governor's designee serves on the effective date of this act. 14 Section 5. Repeals. 15 All acts and parts of acts are repealed insofar as they are 16 inconsistent with this act. 17 Section 6. Effective date. 18 This act shall take effect immediately.
