AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, clarifying provisions
3 relating to equitable matters.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 5501(c) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 5501. Scope of chapter.

10 (c) Equitable matters.--[This chapter is applicable to
11 equitable matters, but nothing] Nothing in this chapter shall
12 modify the principles of waiver, laches and estoppel and similar
13 principles heretofore applicable in equitable matters. However,
14 a court in equity shall be guided by the limitations of time
15 provided for in this chapter.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
