AN ACT
1 Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for State correctional
3 institutions.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 2907. State correctional institutions.
9 (a) Identification of calls.--Telecommunication service
10 providers which provide telecommunication services to State
11 correctional institutions shall identify all calls made by <--
12 inmates TO THE CALLED PARTY ANY CALL MADE BY AN INMATE as <--
13 originating from a State correctional facility INSTITUTION. <--
14 (b) Collect calls.--All personal calls made by inmates shall <--
15 be collect calls only. The person receiving the call shall be <--
16 notified that the call may be recorded or monitored.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
