AS AMENDED ON THIRD CONSIDERATION, JUNE 21, 1995
AN ACT
1 Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for State correctional
3 institutions.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 2907. State correctional institutions.
9 (a) Identification of calls.--Telephone companies <--
10 TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICE PROVIDERS which provide telephone <--
11 TELECOMMUNICATION services to State correctional institutions <--
12 shall identify all calls made by inmates as originating from a
13 State correctional facility.
14 (b) Collect calls.--All personal calls made by inmates shall
15 be collect calls only. Calls shall be "operator announcement" <--
16 calls. The person receiving the call shall be notified of the <--
17 origin of the call and that the call may be recorded or
18 monitored.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
