                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for meeting or overtaking school
     3     bus.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 3345 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     8  § 3345.  Meeting or overtaking school bus.
     9     * * *
    10     (a.2)  Duty to reveal identity of driver.--
    11         (1)  Any person who registers a vehicle under this title
    12     is deemed to agree to reveal the identity of the person who
    13     was driving, operating or in actual control of the vehicle at
    14     the time of an alleged violation of subsection (a) reported
    15     under subsection (a.1).
    16         (2)  The department shall suspend for one year the
    17     operating privilege of a registrant of a vehicle who fails to


     1     reveal the identity of the person who was driving, operating
     2     or in actual control of the vehicle at the time of a reported
     3     violation of subsection (a), unless the registrant can show,
     4     by clear and convincing evidence, that he was not and could
     5     not have been driving, operating or in actual control of the
     6     vehicle at the time of the reported violation and does not
     7     and could not know who was driving, operating or in actual
     8     control of the vehicle at the time of the reported violation.

    10     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
