AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for notification of the
3 department by registrants and operators of changes in
4 addresses.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Sections 1312 and 1515 of Title 75 of the
8 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:
9 § 1312. Notice of change of name or address.
10 [Any person whose address is changed from] Whenever any
11 person after applying for or receiving a title or registration
12 moves from or has a change in the address named in the
13 application for registration or on the registration card or
14 whose name is changed shall, within 15 days, notify the
15 department [in writing] of the old and new address, or of such
16 former and new names, and of the title or registration number of
1 every vehicle registered in the person's name.
2 § 1515. Notice of change of name or address.
3 Whenever any person after applying for or receiving a
4 driver's license moves from or has a change in the address named
5 in the application or in the driver's license issued or when the
6 name of a licensee is changed such person shall, within 15 days
7 thereafter, notify the department [in writing] of the old and
8 new addresses or of such former and new names and of the number
9 of any license then held by the person.
10 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
