AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 3, 1986 (P.L.388, No.84), entitled "An
2 act requiring public agencies to hold certain meetings and
3 hearings open to the public; and providing penalties,"
4 providing for notice of legislative calendar.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 9(d) of the act of July 3, 1986 (P.L.388,
8 No.84), known as the Sunshine Act, is amended to read:

11 (d) Meetings of General Assembly in Capitol Complex.--
12 (1) Notwithstanding any provision of this section to the
13 contrary, in case of sessions of the General Assembly, all
14 meetings of legislative committees held within the Capitol
15 Complex where bills are considered, including conference
16 committees, all legislative hearings held within the Capitol
17 Complex where testimony is taken and all meetings of
18 legislative commissions held within the Capitol Complex, the
1 requirement for public notice thereof shall be complied with 2 if, not later than the preceding day: 3 [(1)] (i) The supervisor of the newsroom of the State 4 Capitol Building in Harrisburg is supplied for distribution 5 to the members of the Pennsylvania Legislative Correspondents 6 Association with a minimum of 30 copies of the notice of the 7 date, time and place of each session, meeting or hearing. 8 [(2)] (ii) There is a posting of the copy of the notice 9 at public places within the Main Capitol Building designated 10 by the Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Clerk of the 11 House of Representatives. 12 (2) No later than the Thursday prior to the Monday of 13 any week in which at least one legislative day has been 14 scheduled in the Senate, the President pro tempore of the 15 Senate shall provide at least one newspaper of general 16 circulation as defined by 45 Pa.C.S. § 101 in each county in 17 this Commonwealth with a list of all bills that will, to his 18 knowledge at the time of notification, be on the Senate 19 calendar for each legislative day during that week. No later 20 than the Thursday prior to the Monday of any week in which at 21 least one legislative day has been scheduled in the House of 22 Representatives, the Speaker of the House of Representatives 23 shall provide at least one newspaper of general circulation 24 as defined by 45 Pa.C.S. § 101 in each county in this 25 Commonwealth with a list of all bills that will, to his 26 knowledge at the time of notification, be on the House 27 calendar for each legislative day during that week.
