                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of Environmental
     2     Resources, with the approval of the Governor, to convey to
     3     the Promised Land Volunteer Fire Company a tract of land
     4     situate in Greene Township, Pike County, Pennsylvania.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  The Department of Environmental Resources, with
     8  the approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized and directed
     9  on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to convey to the
    10  Promised Land Volunteer Fire Company the following tract of land
    11  situate in Greene Township, Pike County, Pennsylvania, for a
    12  consideration of one-half of the fair market value, the
    13  following:
    14     All that certain tract or parcel of land situate in Greene
    15  Township, Pike County, Pennsylvania, more particularly bounded
    16  and described as follows:
    17     Beginning at the southwesterly corner of the lands of the
    18  Promised Land Volunteer Fire Company, the grantee herein; thence


     1  along the lands of the said fire company the following three
     2  courses and distances: (1) north 19 degrees 49 minutes 34
     3  seconds east 150 feet to a corner; (2) south 70 degrees 10
     4  minutes 26 seconds east 100 feet to a corner; and (3) south 19
     5  degrees 49 minutes 34 seconds west 150 feet to a corner; thence
     6  through the lands of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania the
     7  following three courses and distances: (1) south 70 degrees 10
     8  minutes 26 seconds east 100 feet to a corner, (2) north 19
     9  degrees 49 minutes 34 seconds east 475 feet to a corner and (3)
    10  north 70 degrees 10 minutes 26 seconds west 308.76 feet to a
    11  corner within the boundary of the right-of-way of Pennsylvania
    12  Route No.390 and further being on the common boundary line of
    13  lands now or formerly of the Robert Wilson Estate and lands of
    14  the Commonwealth; thence along the said common boundary line
    15  south 12 degrees 15 minutes west 479.18 feet to a corner; thence
    16  through the lands of the Commonwealth south 70 degrees 10
    17  minutes 26 seconds east 45.58 feet to the point and place of
    18  beginning.
    19     Bearings of the magnetic meridian as established on a certain
    20  Plan of Lots of Robert Wilson, said Plan being recorded in Pike
    21  County Plat Book and containing two and sixty-eight one-
    22  hundredths (2.68) acres of land to be the same more or less.
    23     Excepting and reserving subject to public highway purposes
    24  that portion of the right-of-way of Pennsylvania Route No.390
    25  which crosses the westerly side of the above described premises.
    26     Also excepting and reserving the right-of-way of the
    27  Pennsylvania Power and Light Company whose power lines run over
    28  and across the above described premises.
    29     Section 2.  The conveyance shall be made under and subject to
    30  all easements, servitudes and rights of others, including, but

     1  not confined to, streets, roadways and rights of any telephone,
     2  telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as
     3  well as under and subject to any interest, estates or tenancies
     4  vested in third persons, whether or not appearing of record, for
     5  any portion of the land or improvements erected thereon.
     6     Section 3.  The deed of conveyance shall contain a clause
     7  that the property conveyed shall be used for firefighting and
     8  related purposes by the Promised Land Fire Company and if at any
     9  time the Promised Land Fire Company or its successor in function
    10  conveys the property or permits the property to be used for any
    11  purpose other than those specified in this section, the title to
    12  the property shall immediately revert to and revest in the
    13  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
    14     Section 4.  The deed of conveyance shall be approved as
    15  provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of
    16  General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
    17  Pennsylvania.
    18     Section 5.  Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance
    19  shall be borne by the grantee.
    20     Section 6.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
