A RESOLUTION
1 Designating the lady members' lounge in the House of
2 Representatives as the Anita Palermo Kelly Lounge.
3 WHEREAS, Former Representative Anita Palermo Kelly died on
4 August 15, 1990, after a long and distinguished political
5 career; and
6 WHEREAS, Representative Kelly was elected for the House of
7 Representatives in 1963 to fill the unexpired term of her
8 husband and served until 1978; and
9 WHEREAS, Representative Kelly served during a period in which
10 there were few women representatives in the House of
11 Representatives; therefore be it
12 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
13 lady members' lounge as the Anita Palermo Kelly Lounge in her
14 memory.
