                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Congratulating the Township of Bensalem, Bucks County, on the
     2     occasion of its 300th Anniversary.

     3     WHEREAS, The Township of Bensalem was founded in 1692; and
     4     WHEREAS, Bensalem has grown from a small farming town into a
     5  large municipality rich in manufacturing; and
     6     WHEREAS, The township has a well-respected business and
     7  residential community including the communities of Andalusia,
     8  Concord Park, Cornwells Heights, Belmont Hill, Eddington,
     9  Linconia, Neshaminy Valley, Nottingham, Oakford, Stanwood and
    10  Trevose; and
    11     WHEREAS, Bensalem has for 300 years faced the future by
    12  dedicating itself to change and development without overlooking
    13  the rich historical heritage of its past; therefore be it
    14     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives hereby
    15  congratulate the Township of Bensalem on the occasion of its
    16  300th Anniversary.
