A RESOLUTION
1 Declaring the month of May 1992 as "Arthritis Awareness Month."
2 WHEREAS, Arthritis is a serious and prevalent disease that
3 affects many of the citizens of our Commonwealth, particularly
4 our senior citizens; and
5 WHEREAS, At this time, there is no known cure for this
6 disease, and those persons afflicted with it receive only
7 limited relief through medication and therapy; and
8 WHEREAS, Continued research is greatly needed in order to
9 develop an effective method to manage this disease; therefore be
10 it
11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives declare the month
12 of May 1992 as "Arthritis Awareness Month."
