A RESOLUTION
1 Providing for the continuation of the House select committee on
2 land use, created this year by House Resolution No. 20, from
3 December 31, 1991, until June 30, 1992.
4 WHEREAS, The House of Representatives unanimously adopted
5 House Resolution No. 20 on March 13, 1991, which authorized the
6 appointment of a House select committee to examine issues and
7 problems relating to land use, development and growth management
8 in this Commonwealth; and
9 WHEREAS, The members of the select committee have been
10 appointed, a chairman selected and a public hearing conducted;
11 and
12 WHEREAS, Scheduled public hearings of the select committee
13 have been canceled as a result of the Commonwealth's fiscal
14 situation during the beginning of the 1991-1992 fiscal year when
15 the Commonwealth lost authority to expend funds; and
16 WHEREAS, The select committee cannot afford to lose any time
17 in its efforts to produce a report on its activities, findings
18 and recommendations by December 31, 1991; therefore be it
1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives authorize the
2 continuation of the select committee created by House Resolution
3 No. 20 beyond December 31, 1991; and be it further
4 RESOLVED, That the committee shall report to the House of
5 Representatives on its activities, findings and recommendations
6 by June 30, 1992.
