        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, APRIL 2, 1991

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Memorializing the Governor and the Secretary of Public Welfare
     2     to investigate the possibility of utilizing unused former
     3     State hospital facilities as drug treatment centers.

     4     WHEREAS, There is a great need for drug treatment centers
     5  throughout this Commonwealth; and
     6     WHEREAS, There are many unused former State hospital
     7  facilities in this Commonwealth, such as the former Dixmont
     8  State Hospital; therefore be it
     9     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives memorialize the
    10  Governor and the Secretary of Public Welfare to investigate the
    11  possibility of utilizing unused former State hospital
    12  facilities, including the former Dixmont State Hospital, as drug
    13  treatment centers.
