                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  In honor of the servicemen and servicewomen from this
     2     Commonwealth who served in the Persian Gulf Conflict and in
     3     memory of this Commonwealth's residents who lost their lives
     4     in the conflict.

     5     WHEREAS, Many of the members of our armed forces who served

     1  in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm were
     2  residents of this Commonwealth; and
     3     WHEREAS, All of the servicemen and servicewomen who served
     4  this great country in its efforts to liberate Kuwait were
     5  subject to hardship, peril, extreme danger and loss of life; and
     6     WHEREAS, The members of our brave armed forces distinguished
     7  themselves and their country in its valiant efforts, and those
     8  of its allies, in the Persian Gulf Conflict; and
     9     WHEREAS, The following residents of this Commonwealth who
    10  served in our nation's armed forces made the ultimate sacrifice
    11  for our nation and this Commonwealth having been called by God:

     8  the Persian Gulf Conflict and convey its heartfelt condolences
     9  to the families and friends of the servicemen and servicewomen
    10  from this Commonwealth who lost their lives in the conflict.
