                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, authorizing the Game Commission to issue a lifetime
     3     resident hunting license.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Sections 2705(1) and (4) and 2709(a)(2) and (13)
     7  of Title 34 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are
     8  amended to read:
     9  § 2705.  Classes of licenses.
    10     Unless otherwise provided, any person wishing to exercise any
    11  of the privileges granted by this title shall first secure the
    12  applicable resident or nonresident hunting or furtaker license
    13  as follows:
    14         (1)  Adult resident hunting licenses or, at the option of
    15     the applicant, a lifetime resident hunting license to
    16     residents who have reached their 17th birthday but have not
    17     reached their 65th birthday. The commission shall develop,
    18     implement and administer a system to provide tags, report


     1     cards and applications to those residents who hold a lifetime
     2     resident hunting license issued under this paragraph,
     3     including conversion to a senior lifetime resident hunting
     4     license. The system shall require the applicant or license
     5     holder to pay any approved fee assessed by the issuing agent.

     7         (4)  Adult resident furtaker licenses or, at the option
     8     of the applicant, a lifetime resident furtaker license to
     9     residents who have reached their 17th birthday but have not
    10     reached their 65th birthday. The commission shall develop
    11     procedures for conversion to a senior lifetime resident
    12     furtaker license.

    14  § 2709.  License costs and fees.
    15     (a)  License costs.--Any person who qualifies under the
    16  provisions of this chapter shall be issued the applicable
    17  license upon payment of the following costs and the issuing
    18  agent's fee:

    20         (2)  (i)  Adult resident hunting - $12.
    21             (ii)  Adult lifetime resident hunting - $250.

    23         (13)  (i)  Adult resident furtakers - $12.
    24             (ii)  Adult lifetime resident furtakers - $250.

    26     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1993.
