                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for a special State domiciliary care providers
     2     supplement to the Federal Supplemental Security Income
     3     Program for individuals requiring domiciliary care services
     4     who reside in licensed domiciliary care homes; providing for
     5     additional duties of the Department of Public Welfare; and
     6     making an appropriation.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9  Section 1.  Special care providers supplement.
    10     The Department of Public Welfare shall provide a special
    11  State domiciliary care providers supplement to the Federal
    12  Supplemental Security Income Program received by or for persons
    13  requiring domiciliary care and residing in licensed domiciliary
    14  care facilities.
    15  Section 2.  Funding allocation.
    16     The Department of Public Welfare shall allocate for fiscal
    17  year 1991-1992 the amount of $280,000 as a State domiciliary
    18  care providers supplement to the Federal Supplemental Security


     1  Income Program being received by or for persons residing in
     2  domiciliary care facilities over the amount provided under the
     3  State program operating in fiscal year 1990-1991. Such increase
     4  shall be $5 per day per resident recipient.
     5  Section 3.  Appropriation.
     6     The sum of $280,000, or as much thereof as may be necessary,
     7  is hereby appropriated to the Department of Public Welfare for
     8  the fiscal year July 1, 1991, to June 30, 1992, to carry out the
     9  provisions of this act.
    10  Section 4.  Effective date.
    11     This act shall take effect July 1, 1991, or immediately,
    12  whichever is later.
