A RESOLUTION
1 Memorializing the United States Congress to purchase only those
2 United States flags that are made in the United States.
3 WHEREAS, Recent newspaper reports indicate that many United
4 States flags have been made in Taiwan and that Taiwan has even
5 offered to make "Made in USA" labels for such flags; and
6 WHEREAS, It is a sad commentary on the state of our national
7 pride when the symbol of our country is made in Asia; therefore
8 be it
9 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
10 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania memorialize the United States
11 Congress to purchase only those United States flags that are
12 made in the United States; and be it further
13 RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
14 the presiding officers of each house of Congress and to each
1 member of Congress from Pennsylvania.
