AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for the inspection of motor
3 vehicles.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4702(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 4702. Requirement for periodic inspection of vehicles.
9 (a) Annual inspection.--Except as provided in subsection
10 (b), the department shall establish a system of annual
11 inspection of vehicles including emergency vehicles and private
12 noncommercial vehicles used to transport students. The system of
13 annual inspections shall be designed to require the inspection
14 of the covered vehicle in the period of five, six or seven
15 months following the obtaining or renewing of a vehicle
16 registration.
