AN ACT
1 Amending Title 71 (State Government) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for membership in
3 the Pennsylvania State Employees' Retirement Health Program.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 71 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 5704.1. Medical insurance coverage.
9 (a) General rule.--Every member of the system shall also be
10 a member of the State Employees' Retirement Health Program.
11 (b) Payment of costs.--All costs incurred under this section
12 shall be paid by the Commonwealth.
13 (c) Applicability.--The provisions of this section shall
14 apply to every member of the system on or after July 1, 1986.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
