                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the issuance of registration
     3     plates.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 1331(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 1331.  Issuance of registration plates.
     9     * * *
    10     (d)  [Reflectorizing material] Reflectorized background on
    11  plate.--All registration plates, except temporary plates, shall
    12  [be treated with reflectorizing material] have a fully
    13  reflective background in accordance with standards approved by
    14  the department.
    15     * * *
    16     Section 2.  No previously issued registration plates shall be
    17  renewed after December 31, 1990. All registration plates issued

     1  on or after January 1, 1991, shall comply with the provisions of
     2  this act.
     3     Section 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
