AN ACT 1 Amending the act of April 9, 1929 (P.L.177, No.175), entitled 2 "An act providing for and reorganizing the conduct of the 3 executive and administrative work of the Commonwealth by the 4 Executive Department thereof and the administrative 5 departments, boards, commissions, and officers thereof, 6 including the boards of trustees of State Normal Schools, or 7 Teachers Colleges; abolishing, creating, reorganizing or 8 authorizing the reorganization of certain administrative 9 departments, boards, and commissions; defining the powers and 10 duties of the Governor and other executive and administrative 11 officers, and of the several administrative departments, 12 boards, commissions, and officers; fixing the salaries of the 13 Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and certain other executive 14 and administrative officers; providing for the appointment of 15 certain administrative officers, and of all deputies and 16 other assistants and employes in certain departments, boards, 17 and commissions; and prescribing the manner in which the 18 number and compensation of the deputies and all other 19 assistants and employes of certain departments, boards and 20 commissions shall be determined," further providing for 21 increased fees and additional fees for the Department of 22 Labor and Industry. 23 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 24 hereby enacts as follows: 25 Section 1. Section 613-A of the act of April 9, 1929 26 (P.L.177, No.175), known as The Administrative Code of 1929, 27 added July 1, 1981 (P.L.143, No.48), is amended to read:

Department of Labor and Industry.--The 2 Department of Labor and Industry is authorized to charge fees 3 for the following purposes and in the following amounts: 4 [(1) Fees for boilers: 5 (i) Certificate of operations: 6 (A) Unfired pressure vessels by in- 7 surance inspectors, two-year fee. $10.00 8 (B) Unfired pressure vessels by State 9 inspectors....................... 5.00 10 (C) All other boilers................ 5.00 11 (ii) For the internal inspection of power 12 boilers, high pressure, high tempera- 13 ture water boilers and miniature 14 boilers, the fees shall be as follows: 15 (A) Boilers of 50 square feet of heat- 16 ing surface or less.............. 7.50 17 (B) Boilers over 50 square feet of heat- 18 ing surface and less than 4,000 19 square feet of heating surface... 15.00 20 (C) Boilers over 4,000 square feet 21 of heating surface or more and 22 less than 10,000 square feet of 23 heating surface.................. 20.00 24 (D) Boilers over 10,000 square feet 25 of heating surface or more....... 25.00 26 (E) Miniature boilers................ 5.00 27 (iii) For the external inspection of 28 power boilers, high pressure and 29 high temperature water boilers, 30 the fees shall be as follows: 19890H1429B1951 - 2 -
1 (A) Boilers of 50 square feet of heat- 2 ing surface or less.............. 5.00 3 (B) Boilers over 50 square feet of 4 heating surface.................. 7.00 5 (C) Not more than $32 plus the annual 6 certificate fee shall be collected 7 for any and all inspection above 8 of any boiler in any one year. 9 (iv) For the internal or external inspec- 10 tion of low pressure boilers, the 11 fees shall be as follows: 12 (A) Heating boilers without a man- 13 hole............................. 7.00 14 (B) Heating boilers with a manhole... 12.00 15 (C) Hot water supply boilers......... 5.00 16 (D) Not more than $24 plus the annual 17 certificate fee shall be collect- 18 ed for any and all inspections as 19 above of any low pressure boiler 20 in any required inspection per- 21 iod. 22 (v) For the internal or external inspection 23 of pressure vessels, the fees shall be 24 as follows: 25 (A) Each pressure vessel subject to in- 26 spection having a cross sectional 27 area of 50 square feet or less... 5.00 28 (B) Each additional 100 square feet of 29 area in excess of 50 square feet. 5.00 30 (C) Not more than $50 shall be paid 19890H1429B1951 - 3 -

The following acts and parts of acts are repealed 9 insofar as they are inconsistent with the fees set forth in 10 section 1 of this act: 11 Section 7 of the act of April 27, 1927 (P.L.465, No.299), 12 referred to as the Fire and Panic Act. 13 Section 4.2 of the act of May 2, 1929 (P.L.1513, No.451), 14 referred to as the Boiler Regulation Law. 15 Sections 6, 8 and 9 of the act of May 27, 1937 (P.L.926, 16 No.249), referred to as the Bedding and Upholstery Law. 17 Section 10 of the act of July 31, 1941 (P.L.616, No.261), 18 known as the Employment Agency Law. 19 Section 12 of the act of May 14, 1949 (P.L.1342, No.402), 20 known as the Dry Cleaning and Dyeing Law. 21 Section 3.
