AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Transportation for
2 law enforcement on State highways.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $10,000,000, or as much thereof as may
6 be necessary, is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to
7 the Department of Transportation for law enforcement on State
8 highways by municipal police departments, to be determined by
9 multiplying the State highway miles within the municipality by
10 the money allowance for each mile of State highway which is
11 served by a municipal police force within this Commonwealth for
12 the fiscal year July 1, 1988, to June 30, 1989.
13 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1989, or
14 immediately, whichever is later.
